Obama’s Lackeys Upset

“President Obama said he underestimated America’s anxiety over terrorism, because he didn’t watch enough cable news,” Jodi Miller reports. “His comments came as a major disappointment to all of his lackeys at MSNBC.” Miller fires up the Christmas spirit further with Hillary Clinton, Paul Ryan, Michelle Obama, Bowe Bergdahl, Susan Rice and Willie Nelson in this holiday issue of NewsBusted.

Ohio Rally Draws 30,000

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan attracted a crowd of 30,000 today in West Chester, Ohio — the largest rally for either party this election cycle. The boisterous audience heard warmup pitches from an impressive roster of GOP dignitaries, including former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Sens. Marco Rubio, John McCain and Kelly Ayotte, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Ohio Gov. John Kasich and former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice. Kid Rock also entertained the faithful.

The buzz generated will carry over through Tuesday, pushing Ohio into the Romney-Ryan column. Romney sounded positively Reaganesque, delivering an uplifting and optimistic oratory, one of his best for this campaign. He’s on a roll, and you won’t have too long to wait to see the results.

West Chester is in the heart of Butler County, just north of Cincinnati. As of today, GOP requests for absentee ballots in Butler County are outpacing Democratic requests by a margin of 4 to 1. In neighboring Warren County, the margin is even larger, approaching 5 to 1.

PS: The Cincinnati Enquirer placed the crowd size at 30,000, citing police and fire department officials. Steve Peoples of the Associated Press low-balled the estimate, saying only 18,000 were on hand. Peoples is the same reporter caught in a similar lie this summer when Paul Ryan revisited his alma mater, Miami University in Ohio. Peoples claimed “hundreds of supporters” turned out to see Ryan, but the Enquirer, Fox 19 of Cincinnati and WHIO-TV out of Dayton all placed the turnout for the August event between 4,000 and 5,500. Peoples might have legitimate press credentials, but he obviously can’t count. Remedial training with Big Bird for him.

In advance, Mayor Giuliani fired up the throng with a stinging indictment outlining the Obama Administration’s many glaring failures, from Benghazi to enactment of burdensome regulations that have hamstrung businesses and stymied job growth.

Romney Red Rocks Rally

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan appear before a maximum-capacity crowd of close to 10,000 at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre outside Denver. Ahead of the speeches by the Republican candidates, musicians Kid Rock and Rodney Atkins warmed up the audience, as well as Susana Martinez, governor of neighboring New Mexico. Earlier in the day, Romney announced the endorsement of Colorado Rockies first baseman Todd Helton.

And for a sweeping panoramic view of the rally:

Phone Call from Michelle

This just in…First Lady Michelle Obama says she rarely ventures into the West Wing to give policy advice to the President. “She said it’s easier just to phone him on the golf course,” Jodi Miller reports. Romney Surge Gets Media Riled

This just in…NBC Political Director Chuck Todd called the work of pollster Scott Rasmussen slop. “You know what that must mean,” says Jodi Miller. “Romney’s ahead.” Hear more about the Vice Presidential debate, Stacey Dash’s endorsement of Romney and Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chair of the Democratic National Committee, in this edition of NewsBusted.

The Ripped Vs. The Bombastic

Next Media Animation out of Taiwan recaps the Ryan/Biden debate. Anyone who watched the debate will now know why Clint Eastwood, in Tampa, referred to Vice President Biden as “a grin with a body behind it.”

In the Mail Fail

Conservative pundit Lee Doren dissects an Obama campaign flyer that attacks Mitt Romney’s and Paul Ryan’s positions on birth control. Point by point, Doren shows how the flyer misrepresents and exaggerates the true Romney/Ryan positions in a false effort to portray the Republicans as waging a war on women. H/T Small Dead Animals
