Teenagers in Ancient Rome

Ray Laurence, a classics professor from the University of Kent, shares what life was like for teenagers in ancient Rome, his words accompanied by a short animation from Cognitive Media. Kids then didn’t have video games or Facebook to distract them from their appointed tasks. They learned to fight, they married young, and occasionally they took communal baths or partied like it was 1999 BC. ┬áThis video is part of the TED-Ed series. H/T Open Culture
